NOACA's regional transportation and environmental planning responsibilities influence local land use. Where and how development of transportation infrastructure occurs impacts how commuters travel, which in turn influences future land use decisions, and vice versa. Regional infrastructure and local land use planning need to work together so Northeast Ohio can use resources wisely and improve quality of life now and in the future.
